Cause and effect of explanation, is that text tell about cause and effect contributing factors, result, consequences, reason, etc.

Generic structure cause effect explanation

1. General statement, introduces the topic and provides an overview of what will be explained.

2. Cause and effect, this section details the specific cause that lead to certain effects. It explains how one event or condition (the cause) results in another event or condition ( the effect)

3. Conclusion, Summarize the key points from general statement until cause and effect, and may suggest implications or action that could be taken in response to the issue discussed.

★The tittle : Water pollution 

Generic structure analyze

1. This section includes a general statement because it provides a broad overview of water pollution and its significance, starting that clean water is very important for life and that pollution effects humans and animals.

★Language features

- Dependent clauses, " when water gets polluted, it becomes unhealthy for everyone". That sentence is a group of words that has a subject and a verb, but can not stand alone, need anothet clause to clarify the meaning.

- Conjungtion within sentences, "when" ( in the dependent clauses). The word " when" indicate a relationship between the action of water getting polluted and effect.

- verb indicating cause and effect, are action word that explain a relationship where one event (the cause) leads to another event ( the effect). Like " becomes" in ( "it becomes unhealthy" ) indicates a change due to pollution.


2. This part is cause because it states what causes of water pollution, such as from natural causes ( volcanos, animal waste, algae, etc) and there are human causes ( sewage, fertillizer, industrial waste). Outlines the specific factors that contribut to water pollution.

→ Conjungtion within sentences, ""and" is used to connect itmes in list ( e.g ( volcanos, Animal waste, algae, and silk from floods" ).

→Verbs indicating cause and effect, " cause" in (" volcanoes, animal waste, algae, and silk from floods cause water pollution").

→Simple present, " some humans causes for water pollution are swage, fertilizers, and pesticides from farms" it include simple present because tell about fact.


3. Some effects of water pollution, this section is effects, because tells the impact of water pollution like discussing the death of aquatic animals, disruption of the food chain, and health problems for humans, describing the consequences of water pollution.

‌a. Simple Present: the sentence like "It kills organisms"

Which is to describe the issues and facts.

b. Passive voice: 

- pollutants are eaten by small animals

- these animals are consumed by fish and others

These two sentences are the passive voice, because explain that something happened to the pollutants and animals.

c. Cause effect language:

- drinking polluted water can cause serious health problems.

 "Can cause" indicates potential future health consequences. 

d. Action Verbs: Verbs like "becomes," "kills," "turn," and "disrupt" are used to describe the actions involved in the pollution process and its effects.
