An Analysis of Student’ Listening Comprehension in Language Learning Using Audio-Visual Media
This mini research aims to analyze students' listening comprehension in using audiovisual media within the context of learning procedure texts. It seeks to understand whether audiovisual media can help students better understand and implement the sequential steps in procedure texts compared to traditional learning methods. Additionally, this research identifies the challenges students may face when using audiovisual media, such as adjusting to different speaker accents and developing sustained concentration.
This study employs a qualitative approach with data collected through open-ended questionnaires to identify and understand the challenges students when using audiovisual media in learning activities. The research subjects consist of peers from my cohort who are English language students in UIN Mataram. data collection was conducted using Google Drive as a platform, after that Respondents first watched the audiovisual media and then answered questions on Google Drive based on their experiences and feelings after watching the audiovisual content.
