An Analysis of Students' Listening Comprehension

in Learning Procedure Text by Using Audio-Visual Media


This study analyzes students' listening comprehension in learning procedural texts using audiovisual media. With a qualitative approach, data was collected through an open questionnaire filled out by students of the English study program. The results showed that audiovisual media helped students understand procedural texts better, thanks to a combination of visual and audio elements that made the material more engaging and easy to understand. Nonetheless, challenges such as difficulty understanding certain accents and lack of focus remain obstacles. This study confirms that audiovisual media can be an effective alternative to improve listening skills, especially in learning procedural texts.
