Analysis of Students' Difficulties in Understanding Procedural Texts in Listening Classes
This study aims to analyze the difficulties experienced by grade 11 high school students in Kediri in understanding procedural texts in the listening class. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with five students. The results showed that the main challenges included a lack of specialized vocabulary, a lack of contextual knowledge, and the complexity of the language and the speaker's speaking speed. The students also agreed that the use of visual media, such as videos and diagrams, was very helpful in understanding procedural texts.
