Students' Perception of Audio-Visual Media in Learning Procedure Text  for Listening Class Listening is an essential skill for language learners and plays a significant role in shaping students' overall language abilities. This study aims to explore students' perspectives, attitudes, and the factors influencing their learning of procedural texts through the use of audio-visual media in college-level listening classes. A qualitative research method was employed, involving eight respondents as the study participants, with questionnaires used as the primary data collection instrument. The results revealed that most students responded positively to the use of audio-visual methods in their learning and agreed that this approach should be implemented in their Listening classes. The Role of Procedure Texts Podcast in Improving Skills Abstract This study explores the role of procedural text podcasts in enhancing students' listening skills in English language learning. Utilizing qualitative research methods, data was gathered through open-ended questionnaires administered to third-year students at IAIN Kediri. The findings reveal that while the frequency of podcast usage remains low among students, those who engage with podcasts more regularly report improvements in confidence and vocabulary acquisition. Challenges such as diverse accents and content complexity hinder some learners' comprehension. The research recommends integrating podcasts into the English curriculum to foster better listening skills and communication abilities. Introduction Listening plays a vital role in communication and foreign language learning. The accessibility of podcasts and other digital media can assist students in improving their English listening skills. However, not all s...

An Analysis of Students Difficulties in Listening Comprehension of Procedure Text    This study explores the challenges faced by third semester english Education students in comprehending procedural texts through audio recordings. Procedural texts, which provide step by step instructions, are crucial for both academic and everyday contexts. However, students often encounter difficulties due to factors such as rapid speech, unfamiliar accents, poor audio quality, limited vocabulary, and the absence of visual aids. These issues hinder their ability to follow instructions and grasp the intended meaning of the texts.    Using a qualitative descriptive approach, the research involved seven students from IAIN Kediri. Data were collected through classroom observations, questionnaires, and documentation to gain insights into students' listening comprehension difficulties. The findings reveal that the speed of delivery was the most common issue, especially when technical term...

Improving Students' Listening Skill in Understanding Procedure Text by Using Video This research explores the use of video media to enhance students' listening comprehension skills in understanding procedure text at IAIN Kediri through Classroom Action Research (CAR). The study was conducted in two cycles. In Cycle 1, students engaged with a video containing simple instructions and familiar vocabulary, which resulted in strong performance. However, in Cycle 2, when the material involved more complex steps and challenging vocabulary, some students experienced a decline in scores. The findings indicate that while video media effectively supports comprehension by combining visual and auditory elements, difficulties in mastering complex vocabulary can hinder students' overall understanding. This suggests that improving vocabulary mastery is essential to maximize the benefits of video media in teaching procedure text. Link File:  https://docs.google.com/document/d/1-Id71sl9AFwZ6...

Since I couldn't transcribe the video content directly, I'll base the analysis on general principles of causality in scientific explanations, supplemented by any cues from your description. 1. Understanding Causal Relationships in Explanation Texts    Explanation texts are designed to clarify how one event leads to another, focusing on the chain of causation. Typical Causal Chain in Tsunami Explanations:    - Primary Cause: A triggering event such as an earthquake.    - Intermediate Effects: The earthquake causes the seabed to shift, displacing large volumes of water.    - Final Effect: The displaced water generates powerful waves that move toward coastal areas, causing destruction upon landfall.  2. Sequential explanation (Fatima, Celia, Isna)

Sequential explanation Fatima, celia, isna How Bees Make Honey A female worker honeybee starts her honey-making mission by flying to flowers in search of nectar, a sugary liquid. She uses her long tongue to scoop up tiny bits of nectar and stores it in a special part of her body called the honey stomach. On the way back to the hive, digestive enzymes in the bee's honey stomach start breaking down the nectar, preparing it for the next stage of honey-making. Once back at the hive, things get a bit unusual! The honeybee vomits the nectar into another bee's mouth, who then regurgitates it into the mouth of another bee, and this process continues from bee to bee. During these transfers, the nectar is gradually broken down into simpler sugars, like fructose and glucose. Finally, the last bee in line vomits the watery nectar into a honeycomb cell. The bee then thickens the nectar by fanning its wings, causing water to evaporate. This thickened substance becomes honey. To complete the...

Group 3 (Tysa,asti,divana)sequential explanation

The Water Cycle Process The water on earth is constantly moving. The water cycle is the process in which water is recycled over and over again. water move from land to the sky and back again. There are four stages of the water cycle, evaporation, condensation, precipitation and collection.  First, evaporation takes place. This is when the sun heats up the water on land, in lakes, rivers and seas. The water is turned into a gas called water vapor. The water vapor rises into the sky. Next, Condensation takes place. This is when the water vapor in the air cools down. It changes into small drops of water. This forms clouds. Clouds consists of millions of droplets of water.  Then water falls as precipitation. This occurs when the droplets in the clouds becore too big and too heavy for the air to hold them. So they fall as precipitation. Precipitation can take many forms, including rain, hail and snow. when the water falls as rain, hail or snow is collected in lakes, rivers a...
